Research Methodology and Academic Literacy

Seminar Objectives:
Comprehend the eight steps of the research process as outlined by your research text
Conduct a literature review that informs the reader of your research topic.
Differentiate among the types of variables and types of measurement scales when selecting questionnaires (tools) appropriate to answer specific research questions.
Determine whether a hypothesis is appropriate for your research question.
Conceptualize and select an appropriate research design to answer your research question.
Collect data using primary or secondary sources.
Understand the principles used in determining sample size.
Write a research proposal that articulates what you will do, why it is important and how you will do it.
